Day 119 - Learning About Light - Mrs. Kippenberger - Memorial School Grade 3
We are learning about Light in grade 3! Today we explored the vocabulary words--translucent, transparent, and opaque. Students were given various materials and were asked to identify which type of material they were. The material that surprised them the most was the duct tape. They thought that it was a material that is opaque (no light will pass through it)...but in fact it was translucent (a little light will pass through).
