Objective: to observe how air resistance affects falling objects with regards to surface area.
This Monday, 8C Science and Ms. Parlon started the mission to construct a parachute that would deliver an egg safely to the ground when dropped.  No fancy materials were allowed. They were allowed to use familiar household items like plastic bags and string.  The students constructed gravity-defying egg apparatuses.  Although some eggs didn’t survive the fall, most students created experimental egg parachutes that delivered the eggs safely to the ground.
