With Earth Day on April 22nd, 1st through 5th-grade students have been learning different ways to take care of the environment.  Soon they'll put their language skills to use by delivering persuasive speeches about ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. Meanwhile, K students have been busy studying different fruits and vegetables and writing informational sentences.

and her successful efforts to rebuild the forests of Kenya.  

High School Science Center Intern, Dhruvesh, helping students draft their persuasive arguments about why
others should reduce, reuse, recycle.

This morning we had the pleasure of meeting Talles' parents in Mrs. Nelson's second-grade classroom.  The Amaral-DeBarros family is new to Memorial School.

They shared wonderful facts about Brazil!

As the expression goes "Time flies when you're having fun!" and we've been having fun and learning each day! We look forward to a busy end of the year with various class field trips and school activities.  Here are some highlights of the great work your students are doing.
