This week 8B had the opportunity and pleasure to meet with Eve Soumerai.  Ms. Soumerai grew up in Nazi Germany and The United Kingdom as a teenaged refugee during WWII.  Ms. Soumerai shared her story and personal photographs as she recounted the chapters of her life, including memories of Kristallnacht, life in England and the loss of her family and friends. As an a human rights educator, she encourages “children of all ages, races and socioeconomic status to celebrate inspirational individuals”.

The students were thrilled to meet such an inspirational and charming woman.  We are so thankful she chose to spend her day bringing History alive.
