Day 33 - Distance Formula - Jennifer Tate, Marshall Simonds Sixth Grade Math

Today in math class students calculated the average speed of a marble after going down 3 different sized roller coasters.  Students all had different roles including releasing and catching marbles, measuring distances, and timing the marble.  Once we measured the distance the marble traveled on the floor and the time it took, students used the distance formula (distance = rate x time) to find the speed of the marble.  Here are some pictures and a video of our Dirt Roller Coasters!
