Day 14- Students Supporting Their Environment - Brianna Allison, BHS Science Department

We have been talking about sustainability and what Americans can do to lessen their impact on the environment. One way to recycle is to compost - so we discussed the benefits in class and started to make our own bins. Wendy Pavlicek and Sean Musselman in the Burlington Science Center provided us with all the materials (bins, sand, worms). They were a huge help in getting this project off the ground! 

We will be adding food scraps and such to the bins all year long and will hopefully have enough compost for each student in the class to take some home with seeds to plant something.
